Challenge: Bi-annual royalty settlement processes involved hundreds of thousands of recipients, massive monetary payouts, and highly sensitive calculation exclusions—all managed through an opaque, legacy system.

Approach: Architected an end-to-end redesign of the royalty settlement experience, prioritizing data transparency, clear communication, and simplified user flows as a core component of the broader Schilling Waves platform.

Outcome: Transformed a highly complex, opaque process into an intuitive, user-controlled workspace that provides seamless anomaly detection, easy editing, and predictive insights into upcoming payouts.

Approach: Researched, conceptualized, and designed a new task management module from the ground up, ensuring seamless integration with the intricate legacy PLM backend.

Outcome: Abstracted systemic complexity into a highly visible, accessible, and intuitive task management experience tailored to streamline the daily workflows of all publishing worker profiles.

Approach: Drove the end-to-end product design, establishing foundational UX patterns, entities, page types, and a scalable, variable-based design system that elegantly handled heavy data contextuality and cross-referencing.

Outcome: Successfully delivered a robust SaaS platform design that modernized the user experience and delivered immediate, tangible value to existing enterprise-level publishing customers.

Outcome: Successfully generated executive and customer buy-in across the Northern European publishing industry, directly kicking off Schilling's new product roadmap and a modernized era for the company's software.

Challenge: The massive XProtect product suite required a modernized, cohesive user experience across complex video security installations managed by diverse administrators and channel partners globally.

Approach: Directed the conceptualization and design of a streamlined web-based management application, aligning the UX across both desktop, web, and mobile platforms. Concurrently scaled and mentored a high-performing, 14-person global cross-site UX and research team.

Outcome: Successfully delivered hundreds of strategic features and workflow optimizations, completely overhauling the video delivery experience and driving the design standard for one of the industry's leading security platforms.

UX, interaction, and UI design
Experienced working within each of these three disciplines throughout my career which has enabled me to develop a natural work approach that combines the value and perspectives of each discipline area into a continuous loop in product design. I specialize in crafting tailored UX strategies that elevate existing or new product experiences.

Product Strategy and Vision
I develop solid ux strategies that define the product intent which in turn empowers teams and stakeholders to make informed choices, and I weave user needs into the fabric of the product to ensure a holistic experience with seamless interactions and connectedness, intuitive interfaces, and happy users. I align UX strategies to overall product direction and business goals with a focus on how optimizing the UX will increase customer satisfaction, customer loyalty, and a healthier bottom line.

User Research strategy, operations and methods
In addition to executing hands-on user research, I've been through the various stages of setting up highly proficient research operations and toolkits used in- and outside of core UX teams.

Team leadership and employee development
One of my passions is to build teams and develop designers and researchers as a lead, collaborator and mentor. I've built high-performing, international teams teams that collaborate closely across a large number of product touchpoints and user types. The secret sauce of a great team is nurturing a culture of determination, collaboration, humor, support and growth.
